Heins v. Webster County

Roger Heins (plaintiff) went to a hospital run by Webster County (defendant) after a heavy snowfall; the county said he was visiting his employee daughter, while he said he was arranging to play Santa for staff. He slipped and fell on ice and snow while leaving. After a bench trial, the court classified him a licensee and found the county did not act willfully or wantonly, ruling against him.

Whether a landowner or occupier owes a duty of reasonable care for the protection of lawful visitors to the property.
