Woodman v. Kera LLC

Trent Woodman (plaintiff), age five, broke his leg at Kera's (defendant) indoor play facility during a birthday party; his father had signed a liability release before the party. Trent's mother sued for negligence, gross negligence, and statutory violations; the trial court held the waiver barred the negligence claim but not the others, and the court of appeals reversed, holding the waiver didn't bar the negligence claim at all.
