Wilson v. Workers' Compensation Appeals Board

Wilson (plaintiff), a grade-school teacher, was injured in a car accident while driving to her school after dropping her children off. Her car held some books and supplies she used in teaching, along with papers she had graded at home the night before. She sought workers' compensation and was initially awarded it, but the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board reversed. Wilson appealed.

Whether an employee who is merely transporting work-related materials from home and is injured while going to or coming from work may recover workers' compensation.
