Wakulich v. Mraz

Wakulich, 16, drank an entire bottle of liquor on a dare at the Mraz brothers' (defendants) home, lost consciousness, and began vomiting. The brothers moved her, changed her soiled shirt, placed a pillow under her head, later moved her to a friend's house, and prevented family members from calling 911; she was eventually taken to a hospital by a friend but died of alcohol poisoning. Her family sued for wrongful death based on the brothers' negligent care.

Whether individuals are liable for negligence when they voluntarily and negligently undertake to care for another person, resulting in harm.
