Valencia v. White

17-year-old Valencia (plaintiff), operating a trucking business, had White (defendant) repair his truck-tractor for $19,998.76 and paid down the balance to $12,898.71 before stopping payment; when White moved to sell the truck under a lien, Valencia sued to disaffirm the repair contract based on his minority, and the trial court, finding the repairs weren't necessities, disaffirmed the contract and ordered White to refund what Valencia had already paid. White appealed.
