T.M. Cobb Co. v. Superior Court

After Sturm and Conrow (plaintiffs) sent T.M. Cobb Company (defendant) a Section 998 statutory settlement offer for $10,000, subsequent deposition testimony suggested Cobb might bear considerably more responsibility than initially believed, prompting the plaintiffs to send a letter revoking the offer; Cobb nonetheless attempted to accept the already-revoked offer and filed that acceptance with the trial court, but the trial court granted the plaintiffs' motion to strike Cobb's acceptance, and Cobb sought review.
