Santiago v. First Student, Inc.

Santiago (plaintiff), an eighth-grader riding a bus owned by First Student (defendant), was injured when the bus collided with another car at an intersection where the bus driver faced a stop sign; at her deposition, Santiago could not recall the accident's location, the actions of either driver, or any other detail beyond the presence of the stop sign, and could not say the bus driver had disobeyed it. The trial court granted First Student summary judgment.
