Richards v. Richards

Wisconsin Supreme Court

513 N.W.2d 118 (1994)

Relevant factsFree

Jerilyn Richards's (plaintiff) husband Leo drove trucks for Monkem Co. (defendant), and Jerilyn wanted to ride along; Monkem sent her a preprinted 'Passenger Authorization' form, which she signed, that also released Monkem and affiliated companies from all past, present, and future claims for any injury sustained as a passenger in any vehicle or on any related company property. While riding with Leo, the truck overturned and injured Jerilyn; both the trial and appellate courts held the release enforceable and barred her recovery, and she appealed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

IssueFree
