Tenants at Hillview's (plaintiff) trailer park organized to raise concerns about the park's condition and met with management to lodge complaints, and relations deteriorated until a second meeting ended in a shouting match during which tenant Davenport (defendant) struck the manager in the face; Hillview then served eviction notices on everyone present at that meeting, and when the tenants refused to leave, Hillview sued for ejectment.
