Henkle v. Gregory

Henkle (plaintiff), a student at Galena High School, was harassed by classmates-called slurs, threatened with a lasso around his neck, and pelted with metal objects-after discussing being gay on local television. Principal Floyd (defendant) and other officials, aware of the harassment, did not investigate or discipline the students involved. Henkle sued, alleging First Amendment retaliation.
