Crowther v. Wright Medical Technology, Inc.

Crowther (plaintiff) developed metallosis after his hip implant, made by Wright (defendant), was found during a second surgery to have black residue between its ball and socket components; he alleged the ball and socket's size deviated from manufacturing specifications and from other implants in the same product line, causing abnormal clearance, grinding, and his resulting injury, and Wright moved to dismiss for insufficiently specific pleading.
