Andrews's (defendant) cattle strayed onto Mary Bosley's (plaintiff) farm and trampled her crops; a bull charged toward her but stopped about 25 feet away without ever touching her. Bosley was so frightened that she collapsed and suffered a coronary insufficiency, which caused a lasting heart disability. She sued Andrews for negligence seeking damages for the heart condition. The trial court entered a nonsuit against her, and Bosley appealed.
